Mountaineering!
Sky Pilot Peak is a fantastic introduction to mountaineering and alpine climbing. This trip is a full day of adventure beginning at the Sea To Sky Gondola. The gondola will whisk you to 885m where the hike begins. It takes approximately 2.5 hrs to get to treeline. From here, we continue into the alpine where the landscape dramatically changes to rock, and snow.
As we continue to ascend, you cross the small Stadium glacier to the West Ridge route. From here, scrambling and fun low 5th class rock steps, including the “Pink Slab” lead to the summit. Being the highest peak in the area, the views are spectacular!
