Spearhead Traverse!

The Spearhead Traverse is an ultra-classic 35 kilometer ski mountaineering route in Garibaldi Provincial Park BC, that connects Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains. This U-shaped, high-alpine route crosses 13 glaciers and numerous mountain passes, offering spectacular views and challenging skiing. The VMG guided traverse is completed in three days, allowing for optional ascents of surrounding peaks and time to enjoy fantastic powder skiing!

Itinerary:

Day 1:
Upload on the Blackcomb Gondola and ski tour over Decker Mountain towards your first night at Pattison Col.

Day 2:
An early start leads to your second night near Mt Iago.

Day 3:
The third day takes you over Overlord Mountain on your way toward Whistler mountain. Option to finish down the Singing Pass trail or Whistler Mountain ski runs down to Whistler Village.

Pre-requisite:

• Must be a good backcountry ski tourer.

• Intermediate/advanced downhill skiing skills.

• Good fitness to ski tour with an overnight backpack.

Waiver

You are required to read the VMG Waiver and agree to it’s terms and conditions prior to paying or signing. Your guide needs to see the emailed waiver verification before participating.
